Kennon Stuart Shea died Jan. 18, 2006, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Tex. He had battled cancer for about two years, but died as a result of complications from a procedure. Shea was born May 17, 1947, in Pasadena. He attended Claremont High School in Claremont. He owned long-term care facilities in San Diego, but he always wanted to be a commercial pilot. His parents divorced when he was 21, and he had to take over two long-term care facilities. At the time of his death, he owned 10 facilities, two leased out and eight operational. His son, John Kennon Shea, will now take over the facilities. He is survived by his wife, Victoria Anne Shea; his children John Kennon Shea, Graham Thomas Shea and Anna Kathleen Shea; his parents, Edward Shea and Dorothy Shea; four siblings, Kathleen Shea, Roger Shea, Laurie Shea and Timothy Shea; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother Kirk Shea. A viewing will held at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Feather River College gym in Quincy. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Plumas Christian School, P.O. Box U, Quincy, CA 95971.
