N70DV is an M-18C, serial number 218, built in Wichita, Kansas in 1950. It is owned by Gus Hertz of Locust Grove, Georgia. (Click on the photos to enlarge)

N70DV low and over the hangars at Mallard's Landing. That's another Mooney in there.

Janet Francum of Florida briefly owned N70DV before selling it to Gus in August.

Gus and Jim are having a ball flying their new Mites together. These pictures were taken south of Atlanta, GA by Vic Syracuse, also of Mallard's Landing, from his Stearman.

Here it is beside Jim Frank's N4189 and his hangar. Mallard's Landing is a fly-in community (GA04), located just southeast of ATL.

N70DV was rebuilt in 2000 by Ron Anderson in Illinois for previous owner Donald Vecchie.

The Mite Site records show this Mite, originally registered as N341M, has had many owners and three N-numbers over the years:

George D. Haynes of Prairie Village KS in 1964,
Blaine Laux of Kansas City, MO in 1967-68, and
A.M. Davis of Huntsville, AL in 1969.
In 1974, Ray Little of Leeds, AL changed it to N34RL, followed by:
Harvey Leydecker of Gadsden, AL in 1985, and
Robert Chamberlain of Berkeley, MO in 1994.

It received its current N-number when registered to Donald Vecchie of Chatham, Illinois in the period of 1990-2002.
