Unidentified Mite
Ray Mansfield sent us the following message and photo:
"I took this picture at the Norwood, Massachusetts airport around 1960-62. I believe the pilot is a priest as I recall seeing him dressed in black with the typical collar, and starting the plane by standing in front of the wing with his hand on the throttle, then spinning the prop with the other hand as was the custom.
"This is the only picture I have and I'm unable to read a license number even with high magnification...I was using a cheap camera. If anyone knows anything about this plane and the pilot I'd be interested in hearing."
If you can identify this airplane, please contact the Mite Site.
NOTE: This aircraft has since been identified by Bob Katz, N4155, as N4088, owned by Gerald Oleary of Los Angeles.
