Bill Vandersande's Static Prop Balancer

Materials:

1 piece of 2x4, 8" long
2 pieces aluminum, 8"x4"x.025" thick
1 piece of 2" O.D. PVC tubing, machined down to 1.875" diameter

When assembled, make sure the aluminum pieces are parallel to each other. The 1.875" diameter is for the Flottorp propeller used on the Lycoming O-145 engine.

Don Deaton, N120C, has used the balancer, and all he had to do was add another coat of Varathane to the lighter side of the prop.
