Mite Enthusiasts at Concrete, WA Fly-in, July 2007

On Saturday, July 28th, David, his younger son Erik, and I made the 1-1/2 hour drive from Abbotsford, BC down to Concrete in northern Washington State. Gil Gilbert drove up from his home in Kent, WA to meet us. Aside from the fact that there are now four Mites at Concrete, the town puts on an entertaining fly-in every summer. We enjoyed the casual hospitality of Harold Hanson and his wife Gerry, and Jim Jenkins and his son, Drew. It was very pleasant to chat with friends and stroll past the wide selection of local and visiting airplanes on display. [Click on these photos to see larger versions]
